There are five fundamental principles of Islam. They are
The declaration of La-ila-ha-il-lal-la-hu-mu-ham-ma-dur-ra-su-lul-lah. This means there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his prophet.
The observance of prayers five times a day.
To distribute Zakat among the deserving people.
To observe fast during the day time during the whole month of Ramzan.
To perform Haj at Makkah at least once in life, if circumstances permit.
